The pallet network that leads the sector
Helpful information
United Pallet Network (UPN) is a UK palletised freight distribution network established in 2001. It connects more than 100 member depots to provide local collection and delivery with nationwide coverage and services into Ireland and Europe.
A hub-and-spoke pallet network collects freight through local depots and transports it to a central hub for sorting before sending it onwards to the depot responsible for final delivery. UPN uses this system every night, with pallets checked and scanned as they move through its central SmartHUB and member network.
United Pallet Network has more than 100 member depots across its UK network. Its 300,000 sq ft SmartHUB can sort up to 15,000 pallets per night, while more than 5,000 local vehicles support collection and final delivery.
UPN develops bespoke logistics technology to manage and track palletised freight across its network. Its systems include SmartHUB IT for network operations, SmartPOD for electronic proof of delivery and SmartTRAK for real-time freight tracking.
United Pallet Network was established in 2001 and celebrates 25 years of operation in 2026. Since then, UPN has grown to more than 100 member depots and has continued to invest in hub infrastructure, tracking technology and European pallet services.
